When Marty Monical’s fourth-grade teacher asked her students to write a list of their top five favorite things, he surprised her by including “A blank page” on his list. No surprise he published his first news article at age fifteen, his first book at twenty-two, and has been asked to write TV commercials, screenplays, books, articles, newsletters, marketing pieces, and even songs ever since.

Marty honed his craft at the University of Illinois and thrived in a career in the corporate world of marketing and media sales, yet always kept one foot in the creative sphere, optioning his first screenplay to Imperial Entertainment at age 22. Known for his positive voice and emotional touchpoints, his writing aims to inspire and make you laugh. 

When not writing, Marty spends his time with his growing list of grandchildren, playing guitar, hiking, traveling, and messing up routinely in Zumba class.
